Biography Bruce Degen

Bruce Degen is a prolific children’s literature author and illustrator, having created over forty books throughout his career. He is perhaps best known for his work as the illustrator of The Magic School Bus series of books, written by Joanna Cole. Degen has also collaborated with Nancy White Charstrom on the popular Jesse Bear books, and worked on the Caldecott Medal winning Commander Toad series by Jane Yolen.
