Biography Chigozie Obioma

Born in Akure, Nigeria, Chigozie Obioma is an award-winning author whose debut novel, The Fishermen, has garnered numerous accolades, including the inaugural FT/Oppenheimer Award for Fiction and the NAACP Image Awards for Debut Literary Work. A finalist for the prestigious Man Booker Prize in 2015, Obioma has been recognized as one of Foreign Policy’s 100 Leading Global Thinkers.
